3. No, but I will be very disappointed
When will be in any better shape to get anything passed?

4. We'll never know what difference strong leadership might have made in the process.
If Congress ditches the PO, I think Obama's hands-off treatment will definitely have been a factor.

6. I don't know.
I wasn't thinking about another person instead of Obama. I was thinking about Obama taking a strong stance & leading, instead of being coy.

What an odd response. I'm not still stuck in the primaries. Are you?

7. I would say a "Good" public option...
This is a prime reason he won. I don't see how it is anything but a failure if we don't get it.

I suppose he could recover, but .

8. the public option is already a compromise
and there is much more to "compromise" away. He can pretty much pass the GOP plan and claim victory.

10. No, that doesn't make him a failure
He overturned the ban on stem cell funding, ending bans on foreign aid to family planning overseas, passes the stimulus, did the fair pay act, etc.

He has only been president 7 months. You can't claim his entire presidency is a failure, he has already accomplished alot.
