Oh good grief! NBC "news" just said that Grassley
"may not even vote for a bill he likes". Unbelievable. His poll numbers in Iowa has went from 71% in Jan, to 54% now. I wonder why.

2. He is not going to vote for the healthcare bill, period.
Not the Finance Committee bill, not the Senate version, not the conference bill that Obama signs.

It's not going to happen.

Here's my "trigger" option - when they take the public option out and Republicans don't support it anyway, that triggers a separate bill in 2010 that builds the public option. Ship it through on reconciliation. FUCK DA REPUBLICANS.

3. NBC's on top of this story, huh? Grassley said that a week ago --
I WILL NOT vote for any bill put out by this black guy. Of course, the media translates their 'dog whistle' language so as to not offend any of us who despise their racist agenda.

5. It should be reported to all the Dems and Obama--The repukes
will not support this bill. No matter what concessions or good faith negotiations are made. This is a Democratic bill, lock the repukes out, they will NOT support it.

6. It could not be more obvious...
... no Republican with the possible exception of Snowe is going to vote for ANY health care bill.

They have all but said so and I think even Obama has finally figured it out.

All future plans for getting something done should take that fact into consideration.

7. It's very simple.
NO Republican is going to vote for any halfway decent health care bill, because they are ALL more concerned with doing political damage to Obama than doing anything about health care.

This is an egregious example of 'party before country' and DeMint was even stupid enough to admit it publicly!

9. The Only Poll That Matter Is The rushpublican Primary
Chuckles knows if he dares to bargain in good faith, he'll face some Club for Growth asshat as a primary challenger. It'd cost Chuckles millions to survive and then have to do it all over again in the general. Methinks GrASSley is thinking the Iowa voters are stupid...if this bill fails, they will forget his role in scuttling it or if it passes he'll pretend he was part of why it succeded (translation: he'll again turn "moderate").

12. What's it gonna be, Democrats?
Are you going to act like you won a whopping mandate last November, or are you going to let the people who don't even attend the meetings run the place? I see this all the time in my church work: We're a solicitous bunch, always concerned about the feelings of people who can't be bothered to show up to do the work. That's one thing for an all-volunteer organization, but it's quite another when you're running the country.

If the Republicans don't want to vote for universal health care for the citizens of the country, and are more beholden to big campaign donations from fatcats, let them go the way of the Whigs.
