JOHN AND ELIZABETH EDWARDS $53 MILLION DOLLAR DIVORCE
Elizabeth Edwards has finally had enough - she's threatened to divorce her cheating husband John and claim her share of their $53 million fortune!

The ENQUIRER has learned Elizabeth dropped the divorce bombshell after learning a former campaign aide is claiming Rielle Hunter, the mother of Edwards' love child, isn't the only woman he seduced on the campaign trail!

Furious at his betrayals, Elizabeth - still battling Stage 4 breast cancer - has vowed to destroy her husband of 32 years by disclosing everything she knows about his political career in divorce court, insiders say.

National Enquirer broke this story originally, and has been right every step of the way.

12. Let Us Hold Our Fire Until We Hear The "Whole Truth!"
The "Establishment" hated this guy because he would NOT play nice with the powers that be.. INSURANCE Industry!

He finally let them get him w/ the ONLY ammo that they could muster and Johnny ended up "fu*king us" and himself in the process! Too bad for America!

19. No - he is a good lawyer
Check out his cases - he's been pretty successful

But how could such a smart guy do such stupid things, repeatedly?

Dumb...ass

23. I was in Raleigh when the whole swimming pool case went down. The Afflack duck would have won that
case. Sentiment against the drain cover company was through the stratosphere, and rightly so. It didn't make him a brilliant lawyer, just the lucky one who got the case.

It DID make him rich.

I'd be willing to look at other cases of his, if they are interesting but frankly, I'm of the opinion that he owes a greater portion of his success to his charisma rather than his brains.

But yeah, for a guy who apparently passed the bar exam at some point in his life. . . pretty stupid.

5.3 x 10^7 dumbass/million

Crunch those numbers John.

I saw it on Huffington Post's front page, but missed all the threads on DU. Not all of us get to check in on DU throughout the day, so the repeated threads can be helpful.

13. To the DU Posting Police
It doesn't really matter a whole hell of a lot in the big scheme of things if this subject was posted before, and it is so tacky to say "dupe, dupe, dupe" under someone's post. Right now there seems to be 3 0r 4 different threads on this subject, and perhaps the original posters didn't check thoroughly enough before posting, or maybe they thought they had new info or a different take on the story. Whatever, I know how hard it is sometimes to be absolutely sure there is not a prior thread going. Most of us, in our rush to publish what we think is important info, make this mistake at times. Like the grammar-police, the posting-police irritate the heck out of me and only serve to make the OPer feel bad. It's not a competition...that whacks someone else if they duplicate your thread. I, for one, hadn't visited DU for days, so when I logged onto GD and saw the headline of this thread, I clicked on it & found the info interesting. I'm sure if the mods see a poster that is stepping on others' threads constantly, they would say something.

15. Whatever...
I don't for a minute regret my support for John Edwards in the primaries despite his stupidity in his personal life. My support was NEVER about the man but about the MESSAGE of the growing class divide in this country.

Edwards is out of politics, but the war against the many by the wealthy few continues unabated.
