"patriot Radio" in any given city
Here is the Richmnd VA offering http://www.theleebrothers.com/

Much like nationwide, individual city "morning zoos" of the eighties, where each city thinks they are the only one, this patriot radio trash-the-prez is insidious. I listened in this morning and found that a local family, burned out of their house last week, got an outpouring of support from patriot listeners. "no help from the government, just you generous listeners". "If obama were in charge of that he'd have only given 20% on the dollar" (ripped off by the scary one?)I thought about the firefighters (govt), the first night red cross vouchers for hotel, (gov't) and the "new school the kids were now adjusting to" (govt) and what a bunch of turd heads the DJs are. And "Obama was in Rio eating Iranian caviar "(?).

Are these local hate spewers on the dole from the big nationals? I think there is a scandal here but not sure.

Post links to your local hate spumes. How similar are these tools?

5. The folksy rw radio shows trade in sounding "local"
But they obviously have national similarities beyond parroting Rush. Is there money to follow? I googled "patriot radio" and, after separating out the pro football team boosters, easily found a half dozen very similar AM hate radio stations across the land, notably in the twin cities.

Any one know who is behind these local RW mouthpieces? In between the seed and tractor ads they have some vile phraseology for the US government.

7. It's Part of Salem Communications
Here's the company info:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salem_Communications

and a great overview of the company and how it works from Mother Jones:

http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2005/12/higher-frequency

You’ll hear that message a lot on stations owned by Salem Communications, a little-known for-profit Christian radio empire that has ridden the evangelical movement to the big leagues and is quietly becoming a force in national politics. Before it was purchased by Salem, KKLA was owned by a cigar-chomping preacher whose promises of redemption raked in millions to help finance a lavish Pasadena estate, replete with a Rembrandt, a Monet, and show ponies. But Salem’s founders, Stuart Epperson and Edward Atsinger III, have a far grander goal: spreading the word of the Lord and offering an alternative to the creeping secularism that they see as responsible for America’s moral decay. “When you secularize a culture,” says Epperson, “you lose your moral compass.” A mission statement in Salem’s 2003 annual report reads: “One mended marriage. One regained childhood. One restored faith. One broadcast at a time.”

Atsinger and Epperson started their company 30 years ago as young, idealistic evangelicals. Today Salem is the second-fastest-growing radio chain in the nation. The left—which for years dismissed evangelical activists as out-of-touch zealots—has nothing on the radio dial even close to Salem’s reach and influence. Air America is broadcast on 70 stations and owns none. Salem owns 103 stations in the nation’s largest markets and broadcasts to more than 1,900 affiliates. It owns radio stations in New York City, San Francisco, Chicago, Dallas, and Atlanta. In fact, it doesn’t own just one station in those markets. It owns two—sometimes more. In Los Angeles it owns four. In Honolulu it owns seven. It also owns 62 websites and a magazine publishing division.

If you look into opensecrets you'll see that Epperson and Atsinger are major GOOP contributors...the radio equivelent of Sinclair...who have benefitted big time with radio deregulation. They're similar to faux as their hate stations are funded by the sales to dollar-a-hollar preachers...thus ratings and advertising aren't important to these stations.
