Just an observation

[The Straight Story]

Nothing bad, just simply - to me anyways - speaks about change and moods.

I remember the Tsunami of 2004, My mom was in the hospital and died a few days later (12/31/2004).

There were some who felt maybe bush had a hand in it (and yeah, those got locked).

From 9/11 to just about everything under the sun somehow someone would find a way that the BFEE was a participant in it all.

You may not agree with Obama on everything (I sure as hell don't) but one thing that has changed is the ATMOSPHERE around things.

If when Obama pisses you off, let's you down, does not do what you see as the right thing at least we don't see him having tentacles into every single thing from FEMA to Oil (and so on).

I am not going to settle for 'at least it isn't bush' and I sure won't hold back my criticisms of policy decisions, but damn it is so refreshing not to have someone at the top whose family does not have a history in politics (going all the way back to the nazis, jfk, etc) to the extent bush and crew did.

We can actually have conversations now about things that happen in the world without tying them to bush (recent earthquakes and tsunami's - I did not even see a hint of someone thinking Obama had a hand in them).

The discourse now seems more about policy, dem leaders, etc, than ever before - and perhaps our focus has become more clear on who the villains are that stick around even when presidents fade away to their ranches (lol).
