but he had just come back from a doctor convention and was listening to the other doctors talk. He told me "if it was anything like what they have in Canada, we're all in trouble." I told him to quit listening to the right wing talking points and quit letting them scare him. He really did seem unsure of what a public option should look like.
He retired prematurely when insurers started to tell him how to practice medicine. He didn't want to debate prescribing a certain medication to a patient or denying another one a procedure.
