Listen carefully, moron, since you are again being willfully stupid: the underlying and as yet unstated reason why I believe the President was awarded the Nobel is the following, with his effort to secure the stimulus package earlier this year the President averted a worldwide nuclear war.

You see, Steal - and oh by the way your degree must be a B.S. in moronics - if the U.S. had tumbled into a depression it would have had a severe and profound impact on a global scale and particularly in many countries that have nuclear weapons and delivery systems and relatively unsophisticated economies (i.e. China, Pakistan, India, Russia et. al. - and for you DUers name one Nobel in economics that has been awarded to a citizen of these countries. Ha! Trick question, the answer is one, Amartya Sen (India), for his work on welfare economics, but I digress). And as everyone knows the easiest way to start a war on a worldwide scale is to have an economic catastrophe (see Germany in the 1930s).

check yer facts.

here's what the actual citation says : "for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples"

note the language. he was awarded the prize for his EFFORTS not his accomplishments.
