3. Probably 1/4 of threads here at DU are duplicates.
Stories that were posted 3 times in the morning get reposted in the afternoon and the next day. Unless they can see it on the page they are on, DUers prefer to start new threads on any and every subject rather than bringing up an existing one, or even, god forbid, use "search".

Or, a poster has such and absolutely new and unique take on a subject that it must have its own thread so the DU world can marvel at it.

5. Which shows the stupidity and meanness of the U function
supposedly some lazy, coward, and mean DUers use it to "prevent" a thread from getting there, even though very few ever do.

And, one has to question the shallowness of DUers who determine what to read by going to that page, first.

DUers have the mentality of a herd: piling on U when a thread is "Less than 0" and adding R when it has many.

I Red this one but does not help, yet.
