The Ideal America...
Most of America would be in the middle class. Everyone would have a job and a roof over their heads. There would be no homeless.

Any American that got sick would be able to go to a doctor of their choice. They would not need insurance companies to tell them when to go and how much they are worth to society.

Our leaders would work for us, not the big banks, insurance companies, or Wall Street. They would go into public service to serve the public, not as a career move.

Our military would not be stretched to every corner of the earth. We would cut the military budget by at least 50% and bring most of our troops home. We would spread America's message through the Peace Corps and other humanitarian organizations.

We would fight to rid the world of nuclear weapons. We would make more friends and less enemies.

Every child would be directed to get as much education as possible. College would not cost an arm and a leg.

Freedom would be more than just a word. We would end the war on drugs and the war on our citizens. We would be libertarian wherever possible and in a rational way.

We, the People, would regulate those large corporations and monopolies for the benefit of the people, not for personal enrichment. Capitalism would not be the cornerstone of our democracy.

1. people will say you're a dreamer
but you're not the only one, to paraphrase John Lennon.

Sounds great. I think we need to 'lead by example' not through aggression and military dominance.
