So what happened with Liebermann?
I was playing poker with my wife & kids all night and just came here to see if cloture passed. Seems like everybody fell in line at the last second, even that grandstanding asswipe Liebermann. Rahm make the rounds or something? Were specific threats made? I have to assume this is the case, but does anybody know anything or at least have entertaining theories?

4. 51 is the easy part.
Especially since one of them can be Biden. 10 democrats could vote no and it would still pass. I have no worries that we can come up with 50 votes for passage.

6. This is a vote to proceed to debate the bill
He never said that he would filibuster that. He said that he would vote to keep debating, IOW to extend the debate and not vote. There is also a question as to whether Lincoln, Nelson of Nebraska, and Landrieu will vote for cloture to end the debate also. And we need 60 for that vote too, so any one of them can kill the bill.

7. Oh shit, this was just the motion to proceed?
Fuck, my bad. I thought they were voting on cloture tonight. Sorry, I haven;t been paying much attention lately because when I do I just get overwhelmed with rage.

Lock the thread, mods.
