1. Their poor families.
Three male officers and one female officer, all catching up on paperwork on their laptops. The coffee shop employees were unscathed, except for the obvious trauma of seeing four officers murdered.

Authorities are looking for a person of interest in the fatal Sunday morning shooting of four uniformed police officers in a Pierce County coffee shop, police told seattlepi.com.

Investigators believe the patrol officers - three men and a woman - were targeted and they worked on their laptops, and the incident was not a robbery. Witnesses and baristas were not hit.

"This was more of an execution. ... As cold-hearted as it is, that's exactly what happened," Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer said. He didn't immediately identify the officers, saying officials were waiting to inform their families, but said all for officers were from the Lakewood Police Department.

Police are also said to be at multiple locations of interest -- though police have also been thrown by at least on bogus tip, police said -- and were working to obtain search warrants about 1:15 p.m.

A truck was also impounded by police, but officials did not detail the link, if any, to a possible suspect.

The four officers -- three men and one woman -- were about to go to work, Troyer said. Authorities were looking for a suspect: a black man between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-11. He was believed to be in his 20s or 30s and was described as being scruffy in appearance, with a black coat and black jeans.

3. Oh man..that's so freaking horrible!
Can you imagine how their families, friends, and all their fellow police officers feel there and across the country?

I don't remember anything like this happening to police officers.

4. Seattle had an execution last month or the month before
But the police found the guy fairly quickly. And that guy only killed one officer.

7. Yeah, the suspect is Black and
here's a statement from the Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman, Ed Troyer.

"This is an example of the danger that police officers and deputy sheriffs and state troopers face every day," Sheriff Paul Pastor said. "The person or people who did this not only harmed us, they harmed the good that we can do in the community."

13. Washington used to have a branch of "The Order" but those that
were not killed in a shoot out with police about 15 years ago moved to the Idaho compound. There is an annual migration of former members and wanna bees every year to the site of the shootout but no real permanent presence anymore. We do still have a very small bunch of elderly John Birchers that write letters to the local paper and a scattering of tea baggers in Lewis & Clark Counties as well as around the Tri-Cities but we don't really have a local crop. At the health care rally in this area last August, they bussed in tea baggers from Chehalis and Centralia to suplement the tiny gathering of local wingnuts.

I live about 2.5 miles from the coffee shop where the shooting took place. The shop is owned by a retired officer and is a gathering place for local law enforcement.

14. Glenn Beck lived in Pierce County during part of his childhood.
But it was the Mt. Vernon mayor that recently honored him.

15. Actually they did. One of the officer's wounded the "Person
of Interest" and that has aided officers first in identification and in their search.
