From Senator Bernie Sanders site on HCR
Senator Sanders

Health Care Landmark legislation backed by President Obama passed its sternest Senate test, overcoming Republican delaying tactics on a 60-40 vote that all but assures its passage by Christmas. Community health centers got $10 billion more in the revised bill, thanks to advocacy by Sen. Bernie Sanders, The Associated Press and USA Today reported. The voting reflected sharp partisan divides -- 58 Democrats and two independents, including Sanders, voted "yes," Vermont Public Radio reported. LINK, LINK and LINK

Health Centers "One of our great senators, Bernie Sanders of Vermont, has been a clarion voice on behalf of community health clinics...We envision 10,000 more community health clinics as a result of this bill...and thousands of primary physicians to be there to help," Sen. Dick Durbin said Sunday night on C-SPAN. Sanders outlined the provision for Politico's Arena. LINK and VIDEO

Thank you, Bernie for being such a stout advocate for the health care centers.

3. I knew that Bernie and other progressives in the senate who supported this would wind
up being cast as sell-outs on DU. You guys never disappoint.

6. Huge difference between what Bernie "got" and the extortion
extracted by Nelson - Unless you think the ENTIRE $10b and ALL 10,000 clinics will be located in VT ALONE!
