Vegans: Vegetable Assassins of the New Era
Edited on Tue Dec-22-09 07:51 AM by SpiralHawk
OK you morally corrupt Vegans, put down your forks and knives. Your diabolical plan to assassinate carrots and beans and brussels sprouts has been EXPOSED in today's New York Times.

You will be hearing soon from the VLF*

After this shocking expose, never again will vegans be able to sneer righteously at steak munchers.

2. I tried pointing that out on the veg board one time
when I got sick of the holier than thou types.

Nothing living wants to be eaten, not even plants--although you could make a case for fruits that propagate by having birds and other creatures poop out their seeds far away from the parent plant.

Unless you want to live on fruit, swallow the seeds and shit in the woods, though, you're not eating a cruelty free diet.

Needless to say, I'm as popular as typhoid with the morality vegetarians.

the only reason you're not popular with them is because
you are spot on.

Interesting premise about fruits, by the way. You could extend that to flowers relying on insects to spread pollen. Fruits are flowers by any other name.

11. Homeopathic food
Food was once in the room, so the air retains its memory.

I could be a real danger to the world if I had the ambition to become a quack.

5. Oh and don't forget...
Meat is dead. All those fresh fruits and veggies? STILL ALIVE! How can they stand to torture those poor plants by eating them alive?

3. People seem to lack sympathy for plant life and deny their right to exist
if they taste good

6. Of course. there's always an argument like this.
And there's a truth in it, of course, as there is in all such arguments. Yet I think common sense is obscured with such arguments, perhaps willfully so.

7. Bacteria are living creatures as well but thankfully we don't forbid antibiotics
although if anyone promotes the idea that the life of all creatures should be equal to humans than we should not intervene if a child is sick and just let survival of the fittest run its course to see if the bacteria or child wins.
