Bush visiting NYC today --- thought the City felt different
I'd like to know why the let him land his helicopter in Central Park instead of at one of the several heliports in the City. Guess ruining the ball field and preventing those who would otherwise use the park on such a nice Spring day shouldn't concern him at all as long as he can get in and out as easily and quickly as possible......

4. Who uses the commercial heliports?
People who use helicopters a lot. =money, =*'s "base"

Why would he inconvenience his base by using their heliports when he can inconvenience common park-goers?

the heliports which are downtown. Otherwise he'd be exposed to more people in NY in a motorcade.

Just knowing he's within 50 miles of me, gives me the creeps.

17. could have used the mid-town pad on the West Side
then just head up the West Side highway to the 125th Street exiti. just bothers me to consider what alterations might have been madeor damage cause by Marine One landing on the newly seeded ball fields -- let's not forget that when he visited the 9/11 memorial on Long Island they paved over part of the park lest his feet touch grass or dirt......
