I'm going with Senator Bernie Sanders. Those fuckers think the president is this super huge liberal, let's give 'em a REAL one for once.

Let's get even better: Barney Frank as Speaker of the House and extreme liberal to be named later as House Majority Whip. Maybe Loretta Sanchez, the woman who unseated B-1 Bob.

3. I'd love to see Bernie
or Feingold too but I think they do this by rank and it would likely be Schumer or Durbin maybe.

6. Sheldon Whitehouse. Love him. He is brilliant and not afraid to speak truth to power.
That said - Reid isn't going anywhere - unless he loses in November.

And Sheldon is way down on the list because he is so new.

17. That's true! Bernie woulde be GREAT! I wouldn't mind
Schumer, or either of the new guy Sherod Brown, or Ron Wyden or Dick Durbin. All of them are strong Dems & would do a great job!

18. Durbin
He's at least willing to acknowledge "who runs the place" -and he doesn't like it.

Best thing that'll happen for Dems in 2010 is that, one way or another- Harry Reid will be gone.

20. fantasy politics. Bernie is not a dem. And "we" can't give them anything
as we have zip, zero, nada influence over the process. In any case, Harry won't be stepping down. this sort of speculation is so dumb.

Edited on Sun Jan-10-10 07:15 PM by Mass
He has the ego and ambition to fight and get this.

(Of course Sanders would be great, but this is not going to happen, nor Feingold).

Not going to happen anyway.
