Just seen tv news story of valuable resources in Haiti going to airlift adoptees out
CBS News in LA just aired a story of a adoptive parent flying into Dominican Republic within days of the Earthquake and then Haiti Aid Helicopter and resources were used to fly him and relief workers to an Haiti orphanage that was unaffected by the earthquake where they took several kids with them back to Utah. I guess the helicopter could of been used to fly doctors and rescuers into Haiti and maybe rescue a few lives before it got to late, but somehow taking kids who were in a safe and secure building was more important.
I seen an aid helicopter with relief workers flown to an orphanage and take kids instead of flying doctors/nurses and supplies were the more needy victim were.
7. Ooops, I guess we need to leave the kids there and suffer....
:eyes:
I see no problem with this. Not sure why it's an issue to you. Because that earthquakes has probably created thousands more orphans and the space would be needed to house them. I think this is a good thing to have been done and I'm sure the children will be well taken care of.
8. I'm hearing stories of these kids being in the orphanages for over 2 years
after they have been adopted. Something is not right with this. I'm thinking foreigners are being taken in by some scam from these orphanages using the Haitian family services courts to keep the kids there while the adoptive parents are paying exorbitant room and board fees for the kids they are adopting. Of course, I have no evidence, but I wonder if this was going on.
