Are corporate welfare and Wall St. bailouts..."Socialism"?

Apparently rightwingnuts think so since they insist Obama is a Socialist.

So far he appears to be a Corporatist like most, if not all, Presidents are.
Our political system is rigged to favor the uber-wealthy.

Why is this so difficult for the FAUX fed sheep to understand?

If only the RW and the LW would come together against the rampant Corporatism we face as common citizens.
I can dream can't I?

1. It's more like the reverse of socialism.
Taking tax money from ordinary people and giving it to the wealthy.

2. Keep On Dreaming...
Yep...the wingnuts think that any money the government spends is "socialism"...except for weapon systems. The dishonesty is how they (and many LWers) like to blame this administration for "bailing out the banks" when TARP went through on boooshies watch with his henchman, Paulsen, doling out the money.

In fairness, the bailout kept this country from slidding into a far worse recession/depression than we already are. A good share of that bailout money went to firm up IRAs, 401-Ks and other investment accounts that weren't held by the "uber rich". There are a lot of problems with how the money was doled out and the lack of reregulation is very dissapointing, but on the whole, letting the banks totally fail would have put a lot more people out of work than now are and wiped out savings for many elderly.

Expecting the great unhinged who live and die by Faux to live in the real world is near impossible. They chose to watch that tripe and believe it, even if its against their own best interests and despite tons of evidence showing how biased that network is. Their hatred for anything that doesn't smack of fascism is what the corporates like...ignorance is bliss they say...

that flows from the bimbos, bad hair dye and bad hair piece crew at faux. The faux message is drummed into their empty skulls till they become broken record robots for the 'cause'. Governing from the RW and the LW doesn't work; governing from the left and right of center appeals to the REAL MAJORITY. To break the wall street and corporate stronghold on our country and economy will require a revolution.

4. When I pay money into a fund
and then receive some of that money from the government when I need it, that is socialism. When a business spends a few million dollars to buy Congressmen and Senators and then receives a $100 million contract, that is capitalism. Are we clear?

5. The best explanation I've ever read.
And in case there are people that are confused: the statement above is snark.
