1. It is BS.

Obama gave 4 points on what he would do with health care. He also said much more about responding to a terrorist attack than what they played just now.

On edit: and pointing out a gaffe by Richardson that no one else remembered or thought about.

Oh. Sorry.

5. The republik debate is in a week on MSNBC
Am I right? I think I saw a promo for it. We need to hold their feet to the fire on this. Will they even pretend to fact check their precious repugs?

7. Don't be so sure
During the conventions in 2004, they invited an all repug panel to comment on the Dems and a ninety percent repug panel to comment on the repugs. Seriously. They do what they think they can get away with.

The TV's in another room. Earlier I heard Buchanan. Tweety I count as a conservative. The only "liberal" is Olberman.

20. And to be honest Scarborough really isn't THAT bad...
I've seen totally random snippets of his show a handful of times when others have had it on and I have to admit ... the guy really isn't that bad. Sure, he's no KO, but an honest assessment of what I've personally seen so far would lead me to say that he's significantly closer to KO than he is to Bow-Tie Boy. I saw his show the other night when he was covering the whole Sheryl Crow/KKKarl issue, he had two Democrats and one 'puke on his panel, and he was very clearly siding with the Dems in the debate.

Couple a things I appreciate about (at least what I've seen of) him is that he does seem reasonably intelligent, and speaks his own mind, as opposed to being the fountain of RW talking-points that people like F*cker and O'Lielly clearly are. I honestly expected to hate the dude 'cause of who he is and believe you me, I don't like admitting that he's surprised me, but ...

I have to admit that at the very least, with the political tide so clearly swinging in OUR FAVOR, he's at least astute enough, and not such a kool-aid drinker, that he's apparently resisting going down with the GOP's rapidly-sinking ship of tools.

9. I love when the do that.
Every four years we hear something like: Well, the Republican claimed that wages were rising when they were falling, that a nation had nuclear weapons when it didn't, and that we had a budget surplus when we don't, and the Democrat put the accent on the second instead of the third syllable of the name of the Ugandan foreign secretary, so both sides were loose with the facts tonight.

Now that they have only Democrats to slander, they should be as happy as kid with a stick in a room full of pinatas.

17. Good. Establish the precedent.
From this point on they have no excuse not to fact check everything. That used to be the JOB of the press. Glad to see they are bringing it back. Keep on them to make sure they don't drop the habit.
