List things that are still a good deal.
It seems like everything you buy nowadays is overpriced for what you get. What are some things that are still a good deal for what you pay? I don't mean things for which the end user pays nothing, such as visiting a beach or park, getting a book from the library or broadcast TV. I mean things you buy, but are still a good deal:

PG Tips are a pretty good deal on Amazon and they make a damn fine cup of breakfast tea.

For a treat, the Twinings Darjeeling tea bags are only a few pennies more. (So really, I don't know why I save them for a treat.)

Oooh oooh oooh... I thought of one more thing, for Costco shoppers. The Kirkland organic strawberry preserves. Soooo good.

For a $15 registration fee you can enroll in a month long class in all kinds of things: film, current events, ethnic eating, the novels of Jane Austen, etc. I am teaching one, gratis, on the Poetry of Love in late April and early May. Pretty good deal. We have some great retired people in our community doing this as an act of love and of creativity in their retirement. It's a fun project.

If you're not a Costco member, well, I can only  for you. Unless you live near a Trader Joe's, in which case, LOVE those big canisters of sea salt! And the salad we have every night is baby greens (um, from Costco) topped with dried cranberries (...Costco...) and Trader Joe's pear champagne gorgonzola salad dressing.

For about $60 I got 10 lbs of pure fluffy adorable evil love, who was already spayed, tested, vaccinated, and microchipped, and they threw in a big bag of cat food with the deal.

They ALSO gave me a really nice cat carrier that would have cost about $30! I don't think this is standard procedure, though, I think they did it because my little thrasher demon tore the cardboard boxes they usually use right up!
