"If Obama and progressives on both sides of the aisle continue with their never-ending extensions of unemployment benefits, we will look back on 2009 as the good old days, a time when we had only a 10-20 percent unemployment rate (depending on how one wants to calculate it). That's right, unemployment benefits make the average worker worse off, not better, because, like minimum-wage laws, they cause unemployment.

The fact is that when people say they can't find a job, what they often mean is they can't find the job they want, at the wage they want, under the working conditions they want – which means that high unemployment is, to a great extent, a result of workers simply refusing to accept low-paying jobs, preferring instead to live off of government largesse."

You see? People will find work once we abolish unemployment. It's not like people are looking for work and can't find it, that's just crazy talk.

Remember Marie Antoinette? "Let them eat cake!"

Well, it sure seems that WorldNutDaily is all about "Let them find jobs!", am I right?

Hey Tea Party, ever get the idea that you might be talking about waging a revolution against the wrong side?

3. No. Any other questions?
For years, wingnuts have contended that unemployment is mollycoddling the lazy, and that they would go find work TOMORROW if not for socialistic programs. Yes, they are delusional.

4. Until it's them that lost their job then it would be a demand for guberment to take care of them.
Saw it in the 80's when conservonuts were laid off, ran out of unemployment and other benefits, they were then forced to go on welfare. First they bitched about having to wait with "them" welfare queens, then they were shocked when they weren't rushed into the case workers office and they were livid when they found out that they were getting the same money and food stamps as those lazy people, after all those taxes they paid into the welfare.

5. Jesus, these people are soulless, heartless monsters.

A society where people did not have to do menial labor to survive is something we should aspire too. technology should be allowing us to work less and less for the same amount of income as productivity improves. That doesn't happen because of the internal contradictions of Capitalism and because of our Calvinistic "recreation is sin" attitudes.
