Can this be true? New H C Reform does not include Public Option? I can't believe it!
BREAKING NEWS: At 10am, the White House released a new health care proposal in advance of Thursday's "bipartisan summit."

It doesn't include the public health insurance option...even though that's what has broad support in the country.

Can you help us get 100,000 signatures on this message to Congress by Thursday?

"Americans want a good health care bill with a public option, even if it passes with only Democratic votes. We would rather have a good bill than a bipartisan one."

Sign the statement here -- then pass it to your friends.

Today, we are releasing this statement -- along with new polling data that proves it is true -- to the media and Congress. We'll keep them informed each day as our number of signatures grows.

Along with Democracy for America and Credo Action, we hired a professional firm to poll the states of key senators -- Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, Claire McCaskill, and others.

In state after state, voters said they would rather "pass health care reform that includes a public health insurance option but gets zero Republican votes" than "pass health care reform without a public option but with some Republican votes."

Click here to see the (hot) new polling data -- and sign your name to the statement.

Then, please pass this to your friends.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.

6. It was a message from BOLDPROGRESSIVES.ORG. They
contacted me recently. Apparently they're a new organization. I haven't
joined them, I'd like to know more about them first. I hope they are
wrong.

I thought the links would carry over to DU, but they didn't.

2. I think this is only the White House version and not the one that Congress will produce.
I think what is going on is this. Obama is putting out a plan before the meeting where the repubs are supposed to put up their plan. Then we can compare. The repubs don't have a plan.

4. and you thought the administration supported the PO? What gave you that idea?
Having Max Baucus lead the charge should have been the first clue that the goal was to insure it would never be included.

5. You have to believe in it; it's "Change you can believe in!"
And if you don't believe in it, then Tinkerbell dies (due to
lack of health care, most likely).
