Is Wolf Blitzer a fucking idiot or is he just playing one?

So here I am, just got off work after a long week ready to enjoy my weekend. I turn on my TV ready to play my recordings of the daily show and the colbert report. But before I do CNN is tuned in and Michael Steele comes on so I figure what the hell, might as well increase my blood pressure a bit. What follows is constant bullshit in its purest form none of which Wolf seems capable of correcting. One thing that stands out is that Steele, like most republicans, keeps repeating the talking point that people want to kill this bill and government should do what the people want.

Here is a memo to Wolf and the rest of the media. Any time this stupid talking point comes up you should remind the idiot saying it that all polling done shows that the public option has had and continues to have majority support by the American people.

The New York Times had a poll in December that showed the majority supporting a public option 59% to 29%. Support included 80% of Democrats, 59% of Independents, and 33% of Republicans."

If Steele isn't really just talking out of his ass but actually believes what he is saying he clearly thinks the public option should pass. Now is Wolf and the rest of the media not aware of any of these polls or are they just playing dumb? That's obviously a rhetorical question.

You can't expect Wolf Blitzer to know everything. How could he possibly know that Michael Steele was going to say the exact same thing Republicans have been saying for weeks? And you expect him to know that poll after poll shows that the public option, and more particularly single payer, enjoys a big favorability rating? Wolf's a busy guy you know, and those fat paychecks he collects don't just deposit themselves. Well, maybe they do with direct deposit. But Wolf would have to be some kind of look-things-up guy or have someone who could do it for him, and now we've just toddled off into the realm of the fantastic or unbelievable.

He's just one man.
