1. I don't think you have too much to worry about in Plano.
If it WEREN'T talked about, and there were people killed in Hawaii, people would be calling for blood.

7. I think there have already been NINE FOOT waves.
That's what I think.

"USGS geophysicist Victor Sardina said several tsunami waves had come ashore along the Chilean coast; the largest was recorded at 9 feet near the quake's epicenter."

"Saturday's epicenter was just a few miles north of the largest earthquake recorded in the world, a magnitude 9.5 quake in May 1960 that killed 1,655 and unleashed a tsunami that crossed the Pacific.

The earthquake off the west coast of South America caused a tsunami that reached the Hawaiian Islands in about 15 hours. This tsunami caused little damage elsewhere in the islands, but the Hilo Bay area was hard hit. Sixty-one people lost their lives and about 540 homes and businesses were destroyed or severely damaged. The wave heights in Hilo Bay reached 35 feet compared to only 3-17 feet elsewhere."

3. NOAA is suggesting perhaps a 6- to 9-foot tsunami
in Hawaii. I don't think this is anything to joke about.

4. Six inch waves...
I for one hope for zero impact anywhere, and don't particularly care about media frenzies. Geraldo moments aren't my worry, I'd much rather this all be a fantastic exercise in futility, so that people, if there is a major danger coming their way, know what to do.

Besides, either way, the media has the devastation in Chile to show us pictures of; a non tsunami event will just escalate the timeline to get cameras out to remote islands to show us how bad it could have been in Hawaii.

5. Well if the media could devote hours of coverage to a nonstory like Tiger
than a story where humans could be killed should warrant this amount of coverage.
