'HCR Obstruction by Amendment' Remember Rick Santorum? On Fox's
Edited on Tue Mar-02-10 10:51 PM by ProgressiveEconomist
"On the Record with Greta Van Susteren" this evening (I happened upon him while changing channels), the former Senator predicted the next step in Republican delay tactics on Health Care Reform.

Apparently, unlimitied amendments are part of Reconciliation. The record so far is 90 amendemnts, but Santorum predicted McConnell and company will shatter it.He estimated that each amendment willl eat up 20 to 25 minutes of Senate session time.

**** WHAT'S YOUR OPINION? **** Do you think that, after Jim Bunning's antics, Rs will have the nerve to go through with filibusters by amendment on HCR?

1. 'Macaca' was George Allen, not Rick Santorum.
I rather doubt his prediction will bear fruit, although nobody ever lost money betting on GOP stupidity...

3. Oops! Thanks for the correction.
I tend to agree with you--thanks to Bunning, the media have got the scent on Republican obstructionism, and election season already has begun in some states.

4. Thanks. Now I remember. And Santorum also was known for referring to the President
of the US as "BILL", repeatedly, on the Senate floor.
