Why We Fight

Just this morning caught this movie on Starz© Network. It starts with Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower's farewell speech, warning of the dangers of the Military-Industrial Complex. In watching it, I got to wondering why I haven't heard about it before. Little things like John McCain saying "When does the United States go from a force for good, to a force of imperialism?"

In reading the credits, it is a Sony Classics Film, and was a 2005 Sundance Film Festival Grand Jury Prize Winner. It deserves that award, and deserves to be seen by all concerned citizens in this country.

Fortunately, its going to be on Starz again on May 11, so it is possible that others may see it, and learn from it.

War is very profitable. Bush & Cheney's friends have scored big time off the war in Iraq.
