List of evidence that dinosaurs lived with man and were on Noah's ark.
This is a fascinating page of "evidence" that dinosaurs lived with men.

A big hat tip to The Progressive Puppy for this "treasure" of a link.

Vast numbers of Christian evangelicals take issue with the "science" of Ross and Dewitt. They prefer to believe that, with everything else going on, Noah's family found the time to toss scraps of flesh to velociraptors and shovel vegetable matter into the mouths of triceratops. ("Don't turn your back on that one!" "Watch out for those horns!") The website Top Ten Proofs has a compilation of "evidence" that irrefutably "proves" dinos and people co-existed: "Dinosaurs on Noah's Ark is actually a much simpler prospect than people assume. First, the fossil record confirms that very few dinosaurs were large in size. Of course, while there were a handful of dinosaurs types that grew to the large size of Tyrannosaurus Rex or Brachiosaurus, the fossil record itself confirms the overwhelming majority of dinosaurs were about the size of a sheep, approximately 3 to 5 feet in length. The fossils of the giant dinosaurs are certainly more fun to look at in the museums, but the fact is that most dinosaurs were small and only a few grew to large sizes. So, for most dinosaurs, getting on the Ark wouldn't be a problem at all, and as for the occasional larger type of dinosaur, God would have merely sent babies to Noah." And now my brain hurts.

Here is the link to the website called Top Ten Proofs.

Dinosaurs have been documented in history by eyewitnesses such as Marco Polo, Herodotus and Alexander the Great. There exists today dozens of cave drawings, mosaics, sculptures and paintings of dinosaurs from ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Cambodia, Europe, Austrailia , North America and all over the Earth. These exist today and you can go see them. In the Top Ten Proofs Dinosaurs Lived with Man audio CD, we document exactly where they are as well as document the existence of completely fresh, non-fossilized dinosaur bones.

I did not know that, but then I only taught up to grade six before I retired. Must have missed it.

When we look at dinosaurs, we need to realize that they are nothing more than different types of reptiles, lizards, etc., that continued to grow in size for as long as God allowed them to live. If we remember, the Bible says that before Noah's flood, man lived to be hundreds of years old. Methuselah lived to be 969 years old. It was after the flood that God shortened the life span of man. If God allowed man to live several hundred years, it is very plausible to believe he may have allowed animals to live that long too. Remember, we know today that reptiles never stop growing in size throughout their lifetime, so think about what a Gecko or a Komodo Dragon might look like if it lived for 500 years. Can you say “dinosaur”?

Oh, my.

Dinosaurs on Noah's Ark is actually a much simpler prospect than people assume. So, for most dinosaurs, getting on the Ark wouldn't be a problem at all, and as for the occasional larger type of dinosaur, God would have merely sent babies to Noah. Think about it. When God sent 2 elephants to Noah, do you really think God would have sent 2 full grown, massive, 12 foot tall, 5 ton elephants that are past their reproductive prime, or do you think maybe he would have sent a couple of babies that would eventually grow and repopulate the Earth after the flood? Common sense dictates he would have sent baby elephants, Rhinos, Giraffes, etc., as well as a couple of cute little baby Tyrannosaurus lizards, that, just like cute little lion cubs, would eventually one day grow into fierce and dangerous beasts.

Progressive Puppy is right. My head hurts.

Also at the link is the scientific proof for a "young earth."

Thorough site with links to other resources to back up its arguments. Oftentimes, the grammar and sentence structure make some of it seem rushed or difficult to absorb, but it's got a lot of great information. Find out what Herodotus and Marco Polo REALLY saw.

2. Just like Adnan Oktar/Harun Yahya and his glossy creationist book.
In that book, we learn that fossil (A) looks a bit like modern species/fishing lure (B). Therefore, evolution is false.

Here, dinosaur (A) looks a bit like modern reptile (B). Therefore, dinosaurs coexisted with humans.

5. Common sense dictates he would have sent baby elephants and a couple of cute little baby Tyrannosaur
Dinosaurs on Noah's Ark is actually a much simpler prospect than people assume.

Fer realz!

First, the fossil record confirms that while there were a handful of dinosaurs types that grew to the large size of the Tyrannosaurus Rex or Brachiosaurus, the overwhelming majority of dinosaurs were about the size of a sheep, approximately 3 to 5 feet in length.

Series!

That wouldn't be a problem for the Ark at all, and as for the occasional larger type of dinosaur, God would have merely sent babies to Noah. Think about it.

When God sent 2 elephants to Noah, do you really think God would have sent 2 massive, 12 foot tall, full grown elephants that are past their reproductive prime, or do you think maybe he would have sent a couple of babies that would eventually grow and repopulate the Earth after the flood?

Are you fucking crazy?

Common sense dictates he would have sent baby elephants and a couple of cute little baby Tyrannosaurus lizards, that, just like cute little lion cubs, would eventually one day grow into fierce and dangerous beasts.

Like, duh!

Except that's even impossible.

These "children" don't care about dinosaurs or when and where Noah comes from or any of that. They just want to be told a familiar story they've all heard from birth (and baloney to support it) so they can smile and completely forget about any of it..... ahhhhhh.... We live in the affirmation age, where people told to seek out comfort information that is tailor made to make them reaffirm their preset beliefs. 67. Ok, so Noah took care of the animals, but what about all the plants?
Edited on Sat Mar-13-10 03:33 AM by lutherj
Most plants wouldn't survive a 40 day flood. Did Noah tow a floating greenhouse behind him? Seems like the bible is missing some important details here.

Also, seems like it wouldn't be that hard to do a rough calculation of the actual volume of space that two of every living creature would occupy. Simply look up the number of species estimated to live on the earth, choose some arbitrary average size, and multiply. I'd be willing to guess it's a hell of lot larger than a wooden boat. (And remember, you have to add in the volume of all those dinosaur species.)

Also, if dinosaurs survived the flood, why aren't they around now? Did our ancestors kill them all, just like the Dodo? Did they get fat on dino nuggets for 4 millenia?

Also, where the hell did all that water come from, anyway? Did God add to the total volume of water on the earth to cover up the mountains? That would take several miles of water, covering the entire earth. Again, even the most hardy of tree species wouldn't survive 40 days at the bottom of the Marianas Trench. And what would all that pressure do to the earth, anyway? Did it slow down the earth's rotation? Wouldn't all that water swirling around and drying up transfer all the soil off the land masses and into the oceans, leaving a bunch of barren rocks? Did God suck all that water back up again in the end?

Couldn't God think of an easier way to kill off the human race? I could. Disease, for instance. Or a massive meteor strike. Or just blink them out of existence. If you are God, you don't really need some clumsy geological catastrophe. And if you're God and you are omniscient, why would you bother to create Adam and Eve and then sit around and wait knowing that you are going to have to create all this extra water and kill everyone anyway? Why not just start with Noah and his daughters post-flood, with him drunk on the ground and his daughters having sex with him, and just get on with it?

Seems to me these Christians have some homework to catch up on. I'd give them back their paper and make them rewrite it over the weekend.

Just saying.

90. Thanks for the laugh!
I read the thing twice, and what it really needs is a small, subtle :sarcasm: at the end!

106. Wow them Fundies have gotten good with Photoshop
Its sad that a site like that with obviously doctored photos will actually cement the misinformation in the minds of the fundies.

I am also a Photoshop technician, and I found numerous points of evidence of manipulation, from sun angle to spacial inconsistencies in the photographic "proof" on that site.

Also if you spend time Googling giant human bones etc... you won't find any of those "discoveries" that are pictured. The only ones that pop up consistently are a hoax in India or Saudi Arabia depending on which site it is.

116. You know, as a committed, liberal Christian, this shit
really pisses me off. Please know that the majority of us not only DO NOT BELIEVE this nonsense, but believe in science and hate the anti-intellectual streak of the fundie nutballs that is ruining so much. Now excuse me while I go back to banging my head against the desk at this unbelievable stupidity.

Guess they never went extinct. How stupid of all of us.

My Bible is full of dinosaurs and extraterrestrials and any kind of shit that will get you in that door and money flowing from your pockets.
