Teabagger Tries To Harass Congressman’s House, Lists Wrong Address, Stands By His ‘Journalism’
The Politico has a funny story, so /LINKBAN temporarily: Teabaggers are harassing poor Virginia freshman Rep. Tom Perriello. (To whom you libtards might want to spare some reelection $$$ if you can, since he’s a good, populist voice who has made many tough votes and could use a Reward. This is how it works when Democrats actually pass major laws; we’re so used to just bitching about everyone and everything and ruining their careers, which is more fun.) ANYWAY, the teabaggers are trying to destroy this guy’s life, and having some trouble.

A tea party organizer angry over Rep. Thomas Perriello’s (D-Va.) vote in favor of health care reform published what he thought was the freshman member’s home address on a blog, in case any readers "want to drop by" and provide a "personal touch" to their views.

Rather than giving out Perriello’s address however, the tea party activist mistakenly printed the home address of the congressman’s brother. Perriello’s brother and wife have four children under the age of 8.

In the post, the author gives out the address to his "friends" in Perriello’s district.

The author was tracked down and is this idiot named Mike Troxel, head of the Lynchburg Tea Party, which may or may not even be in Perriello’s district. But who cares? Teabaggers won’t be redlined into obscurity by these damn Democrats.

Troxel, however, still thinks that the address is Perriello’s house, because of Journalism:

Troxel found the address through a directory website and said he would only replace what he currently has on the blog with an address provided by Perriello’s office.

"If they would like to provide me with the address of Tom, then I’d be more than happy to take it down," he said. "I have no reason to believe it’s not his house."

"We’re pretty ticked off he voted for it," Troxel said.

Troxel, a 2005 graduate of Liberty University, added "I was a journalism major in college, so I have every reason to believe my research is accurate."

Emphasis ours, because why not emphasize the funniest sentence ever?

I mean, do they have a Journalism History course that just starts the ball rolling at the founding of Fox News, sort of like how the Earth's only 6,000 years old?

Is there a course on Journalism Ethics that's taught over the Internet by James O'Keefe, as he's under orders not to leave the state of New Jersey?

3. Another journalism major -- just like Caribou Barbie
A match made in heaven...

But at least this guy only went to one "university" to get his "degree". Caribou took 5 schools to do it.

17. Get this from the Politico article:
Edited on Tue Mar-23-10 03:16 PM by Lasher
Feigel justified Troxel’s decision to post the home address by saying that Perriello’s office does not “respond to e-mail, they don’t respond to letters, they don’t respond to us showing up at his office. So what am I going to do?”

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34843.html#ixzz0j251O2WM

The very same 'logic' could be used to justify rape. These are some sick people.

22. One of my favorite movies is "What About Bob?"
but change that scenario to a disgruntled constituent, taxpayer or client and we have a huge invasion of privacy on our hands. All of these folks should get their video alarm systems updated with regular police protection (at least driving by) until things settle down a bit.

And buy a few big dogs, too!

But if someone even stupider than Troxel (if such a person can be found) will act on his dim-witted advice and go to the wrong house, I'm sure Troxel will own whatever his catspaw does, right?

29. I found one blog where someone had posted his address.
But then a mod deleted it, and google didn't have a cache.

I did find his myspace page and something about how he is/used to be an MMA fighter.

If he thinks the Congressman's brother is fair game, I don't see why his address shouldn't be posted all over the place.
