My violence stricken, child killing city community is asking for solutions

High poverty..
High crime rate..
No jobs / little transportation to jobs..
Epicenter of the Hudson Valley Drug Trade..
Very well organized gangs..
High rate of homeless / Sex Predators are placed in Newburgh..

I am meeting with a community group tonight and have my statement somewhat solidified. I am asking if anyone has any advice. Is there a first step that you can recommend to help Newburgh curb the violence
