The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security have launched an investigation into letters sent by an anti-government group to over 30 governors demanding they resign within three days or face peaceful removal from office.

The letters, sent by a group calling themselves the "Guardians of the Free Republics," do not threaten violence but warned recipients they would be removed from office if they did not resign by the deadline, law enforcement and state officials said.

2. Appropriate precaution. I've heard remarks about the "lone wolf" activism / violence this can spur.
The Guardian groups could end up claiming a plausible denial of any culpability in the event of extremist violence. "We meant removal at the ballot box...." :eyes:

3. I don't think that will stick
because of the three day time limit on the ultimatum and the lack of elections any time soon.

Let's hope Uncle Sugar is finally taking these loons seriously. They're dangerous.

4. Do you see the way America is becoming?
Compare this to the rise in terroism and constant war in the Middle East.
First you have a group that wants to be in constant control. They try crookedness and corruption and it works for a while, but then people get tired and get to put their own choice in charge.

Then this group frustrated and angry because they have lost control, foment hate and violence, and urge people to overthrow they government. Splinter groups spring up, (Al gu eada) (tali ban) and do threaten violence.

Finally this does lead to real violence and the group that started all the hate and violence and urging the stupid public to overthrow the government think they have it made and will take over permanently.

BUT IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY. WE HAVE SEEN THIS IN THE MIDDLE EAST ...Each group wants to be in charge. All these militia groups the tea bags, who are really an upgraded KKK all want to be in the ones in charge and there will be fighting and finally bloodshed. Just wait and see. This time I think the republicans have outsmarted themselves.

5. What percentage of the population do they represent
I think the internet and all the crap talk radio stations give them way more attention than their numbers deserve.

6. They must be under-funded
because only 30 gov's received their letter. That equals $12.90 in postage. They only need $8.60 more to mail the other 20.

7. These clowns even sent one of their letters
to our Governor Sean Parnell -- or as we call him SP version 2.0.
