That seems to be the Republican response to health care reform and Wall Street reform.
It allows you to be obstructionist while having the illusion of being bipartisan at the same time.
Maybe we can trick the Democratic Party leaders into using this strategy. "We're not opposed to the Bush tax cuts, all I'm saying is let's just start over on them."
Might actually trick them into getting some work done.
They've never been happy since the people were given power to decide how they want to govern themselves. Everything in the past 50+ years has been aimed at taking us back to the moment just before the last state ratified the Constitution.
They want to overthrow our government and put themselves in power permanently -- and slowly but surely they have been progressing toward this goal. They have been single-mindedness in their goal, like a glacier grinding everything in its path.
There are more of us than there are of them, yet they're winning the war. And most people don't even know we are in a war for the very soul of our country.
