But the government can't do anything right, say the cons
Corporate Cons say government can't do anything right. How many times have you heard the 2 digit IQ and bought and paid for corporate shills such as Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck and their peers state that government can't do anything right or shouldn't regulate?

Yet all we see in hindsight for the last 20 years is what corporate America and Wall Street bankers and many in a Congress that is beholden to both have done that was neither right nor ethical.

They screwed us in the 1980s with the savings and loan debacle, in the 1990s with NASDAQ bubble, after 2000 with de-regulatory thievery such as Enron, from 2005 to now with the Wall Street heisting of America, and now in 2010 their incompetence has killed many untold billions in lost seafood, wildlife, jobs and irrecoverable and irreplaceable environment all so their little group of schmuck CEOS and bankers could get wealthy beyond all belief.

I submit that the USA needs a capital punishment system for the big boys when they do mega crimes against humanity. That will be the only way to keep them honest.

As an example here is a search query done on "government can't do anything right". http://www.google.com/search?q=government+can%27t+do+anything+right&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a

1. It's true that when "conservatives" run government, they dan't do anything right.
They can't help it. They're just incompetent. They're not in touch with the "reality based world".

3. Don't you understand? The private sector is efficient!
Government is inefficient.

It's a standard Republican mantra. Actually the private sector is more like Dilbert and The Office that most Repubbies care to admit.

The nice thing about governmental inefficiency is that I can do something about it. It's cumbersome, but we can vote the rascals out. Private inefficency is self-perpetuating and, as a practical matter, we can't do anything about it except impose governmental curbs.
