Republican Rebranding Effort 'Suspended'
On the home page of the National Council for a New America, House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) greets visitors with the suggestion that they nominate their hometown to host one of the council’s national town hall meetings.

But the council isn’t coming to your town — the year-old group is defunct.

Cantor aides explained that the group has been “suspended” one year after its splashy launch in part because of the intense negative attention it received from the Democratic campaign committees and other groups after its introduction. The NCNA was intended to be a traveling forum of Republican leaders who could engage the public in a broad-ranging discussion of hot-button issues. Cantor spokesman John Murray said despite 5,000 positive news hits, the “relentless attacks from the left” became overwhelming to the whip office soon after its launch.

“I think now, we are in a suspended state,” Murray said.

2. best way to avoid playing tug-o-war with someone on their terms is to refuse to pick up the rope

and then go lay your own rope down

the Republicans can't figure that out - they want to fight on their terms, with their idiocy, in their pool of lies... and the best way to deal with that is to walk away. Nothing annoys them as much.

6. That's a good description of passive resistance...
And pacifists have been using it for a long time. Much like my hero... Joan Baez.

12. hadn't thought of it that way

it does help when someone is trying to start an argument, so in the big picture that makes a lot of sense that when you engage someone against your own interests, you are doing their side a service and your own side, none

Dems announced they had suspended a 're-branding' effort.

Campbell Brown, Norah O'Donnell, Mika Mouse and Joe, Andrea Greenspan, and Leslie Blitzer would have a good ole time with this -- dedicating entire segments, hell...even entire shows to the demise of the party that can't rebrand itself.

INSTEAD, we have learned to expect crickets from the Media when it comes to Repig foibles.

8. Typical Repuke playbook - 'we can't do it, must be someone elses fault'.
This is why we call them Repukes - they cannot progress forward with logical thought/motions. They seem stuck in 'no' mode and that is sad. For them.
