Alabama mudslinging: "My opponent believes in evolution!" "Uh uh, you do!"
Evolution has obviously been a political issue for a while, but I'm not sure I've ever seen an attack ad like this one before: It mocks a candidate for the Republican nomination for governor of Alabama for believing in the theory.

The outraged pushback from candidate Bradley Byrne:

• As a Christian and as a public servant, I have never wavered in my belief that this world and everything in it is a masterpiece created by the hands of God. As a member of the Alabama Board of Education, the record clearly shows that I fought to ensure the teaching of creationism in our school textbooks. Those who attack me have distorted, twisted and misrepresented my comments and are spewing utter lies to the people of this state.

Next up in Alabama politics...

"My opponent actually thinks that little animals are the cause of disease when we all know it's because of sin or an imbalance in the four humours. And this man wants to be your governor!"

1. Okay, I'm calling this fight
Neither one of them exhibits any proof of evolution. Out of the gene pool, boys; you're both losers.

6. It's ugly in my state right now...However, we do find humor in the stupid ads.
My current favorite is stupid Tim James. He asks a question, there's like a 2 second dramatic pause and then he says, "do you?". He's been mocked nationwide for this. His Dad was Guv Fob James and he was horrible.

3. "My opponent is an educated man who doesn't take direction solely
from the book written by the man in the sky. Can you trust him as your governor?"

What crap. Honestly, it's a bad thing to believe in evolution now?

5. Just more people pandering to get votes, have no ideas of there own and
use stupidity to get elected. They hide behind god and would not know him if he tapped them on the shoulder.

7. "...As a member of the Alabama(stan) Board of Education"
For me, that's the most disturbing portion of the ad.
