Intelligent Design: Scientifically and Religiously Bankrupt
In case you had any doubt, the last nail was just placed in the coffin of intelligent design (ID). And, in case you had any doubt, that last nail joins many others that have been in place for quite some time.

snip

From both a scientific and a religious perspective, intelligent design is dead and buried. All that's left is to spread the word about its demise.

Somebody needs to tell the zombies who still believe in it.

2. Good article, thanks
I bet I know exactly how this will be countered.

"Well, God originally created us flawlessly, but because of Adam and Eve he introduced these imperfections into the genome."

Simple, quick, ignorant, and totally satisfying.

I'm really good at coming up with these. Guess being a practicing Christian for a years allows me to think like them; regress into that simple mindset on command.

3. Maybe they'll fall back on "Ignorant Design:"
That's the theory that the universe and everything in it was indeed intentionally designed by a Supreme Being, it's just that the Supreme Being in question is a total moron.

Admit it, this theory has a lot of explanatory power behind it. Just look around.

4. It's going to take more than a coffin full of nails to kill it.
A stake or two seems in order.

6. Yet you still feel the need to keep hammering? Wonder why?
Isn't that the definition of insanity?

7. Ancient aliens who were mining our planet for resources ...
found working in the mines difficult.

Realizing that apes had some intelligence they modified ape DNA to create a worker to do their mining. We are the result.

These aliens were very advanced capitalists. They valued outsourcing to find cheap labor.

Obviously we didn't fit well into nature's balance as we have overrun and are destroying our planet.
