About Darrell Issa's demand for a Special Prosecutor.
Can we the tax payers afford to pay for another frivolous Whitewater style witch hunt, with soldiers fighting on two fronts, the economy in ruins and the Gulf being poisoned by BP?

If we are going to call for a "Special Prosecutor" lets call for one to look into Bush and Cheney's war crimes...those were REAL and dirty Darrell was an accomplice.

1. Bingo!
Those are the criminals who need to be brought to justice. And as far as I'm concerned Darryl Issa is living in a glass house. He should really be looking behind his back and we should be looking into his backroom dealings. He's part of a crime syndicate that deals in placing complacent politicians in high places for those crime lords he is serving. He's pulling the same shit he did in getting rid of Grey Davis as Governor of California. If he succeeds, our new President will be a Republican just like we got the Gropenator.

10. Time for the people to call for a Special Prosecutor to check on
the Bush Gang's Crimes Against Humanity and Crimes Against Peace!

If the tax payers are going to spend money let's see that we spend it on Murderers and Torturers.

Issa is about as low life as Cheney. A piece of shit is better than that gang of criminals.

11. He already compared the Sestak issue to Tom DeLay bribing
people on the House floor. Of course comparing the two situations is like comparing apples & oranges, but what diff. does that make to Daryl? NONE!

7. I wish he were only comical.
He's very dangerous in what he can pull off and there is money behind what he does. When he paid out of pocket for petition signers throughout the State of California to recall Grey Davis, don't think for a moment he didn't get the money elsewhere. I mean California is a very big state and there were guys with clipboards and tables even in my little one street town. I would really like to see an audit of his books. But I'm afraid anyone who might try, will probably go for an airplane ride, or the top floor of a high rise to meet with an unfortunate accident. Where's Elliott Ness when we need him?

6. It's Darrell Issa's fault--and I do mean it
that California is in the fucked-up mess it's in right now. Issa was the asshole who demanded the "recall" on Gray Davis, and helped put Schwarzenegger in the governor's office. I think that asshole should be drawn and quartered.

connections with staffers, friends, neighbors, etc. If you hear anythig I'm sure it would be off the record, or something you overheard and nobody realized it.

21. Holder Already Call Issa On This Stunt
No prosecutor cause there ain't no "crime". It's Issa showboating again...this turdball is the new Disco Danny Burton. He's playing the old game of saying it loud enough and often enough, people will start to believe it...especially in the corporate media. This is manufactured bullshit to try to make this administration look bad, just like they created the myth of mass corruption during the Clinton years. The big difference is rushpublicans aren't in control and Issa's stunt is strictly to "win" the corporate media over. It's to muddy up Sestak who stands a real good chance of beating Issa's Club for Growth buddy, Pat Toomer.

If you haven't been noticing, the GOOP dirty tricks are out early this year. First the slime on Blumenthal now this attempt to make Sestak look bad. It's gonna be a long and ugly campaign.

24. Not only that, he chooses to strike when his target is mired in serious
problems that need his attention. In Davis's case it was the energy crisis in California, which as we found out was a big scam by Enron and now with the BP oil geyser Gulf disaster, Obama's attention is needed. So he knows they don't have time to give their whole attention to both. This is really dirty business. Clinton was thrown the Lewinsky scandal when he was in the middle of trying to broker peace between Israel and Palistine. I fear for Obama because of his gentle nature. I wonder if he will decide to fight this like Clinton did or try to take the high road like Davis did. I believe Issa thinks Obama will behave like Davis. I hope Obama shows him a thing or too. Issa is pond scum.

Richard Shelby would only put a HOLD on the nomination in the Senate,
like all his other nominees that are currently held by Shelby.

29. Also, the Republicans allowed the Independent Counsel law to lapse
-at least after they were through with Clinton and Bush had been installed in the WH. Oh snap! :eyes:

and NO, we certainly cannot afford more frivolous "Whitewater-style" witch hunts. It sickens me to think just how much more useful all the money that ultimately went into investigating the Clinton Administration could have been and the good it could have done for so many people. Sadly, they don't even care about THAT and will do it again to Obama given half a chance. Pubs like Issa are clearly chomping at the bit to start something against Obama over Sestak. Further "investigations" of ACORN and Bill Ayers (focused on their supposed respective "ties" to Obama), as well as possibly Rezko and/or the mess that Blago made with his former Senate seat are almost certainly waiting in the wings for them to *explore* further as well. Hell, at this point, they may even decide to attempt to further appease their "birther" base by investigating his birth certificate/qualifications to be POTUS. :puke:

32. Another thing that bothers me about Whitewater...
Edited on Sat May-29-10 05:45 AM by Hubert Flottz
Fifty FBI people were involved in the $50 million plus investigation, at a time when the terrorists were in the US learning to fly airplanes. Maybe one or two of those fifty FBI agents would have connected the dots and saved the World Trade Center victims. Maybe we wouldn't have had over two thousand dead Americans 0n 9/11...maybe we wouldn't have had thousands more killed in two wars. Maybe the country wouldn't have spent trillions on those two wars.

Maybe Darrell's political stunt this time will create yet another opportunity for the terrorists to attack us, while our FBI agents are busy chasing another republican political wet dream.

I remember Michael Moore bringing this up in one of his books and I wholeheartedly agree. What the Republicans were wasting our time and money on back in the 1990's was the REAL scandal IMHO.
