Someone should figure out how much area that would span if it was 1 or 2 inches deep. And 30,000,000 gallons is a very conservative estimate.

1. One cu.ft. = 7.5 gallons
Which means a gallon can cover a sq. ft. about and inch and a half deep. Or 42,000 gallons can cover an acre (which coincidentally is 1,000 barrels).

2. just type "30000000 gallons in cubic feet" into the Google search box
It say "30 000 000 US gallons = 4 010 416.67 cubic feet" Each cubic foot will cover 12 square feet to a depth of one inch. Therefore, it will cover 12 * 4 010 416.67 = 48125000.04 square feet. This is a square that is 6937.21 feet on a side. Or about 1.32 miles on a side.

3. Crude oil is a mix of propane, gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, oil, heavy oil and asphalt
So that will give you a good idea of how toxic it is.
