Can the Euro break $1.20 today? I mean who would want to be long the Euro going into weekend?

A close below $1.20 combined with bad news over the weekend will be a rough setup for Euro on Monday.
So far is stubbornly is resisting that $1.20 mark (likely huge psychological level).

From high of $1.60 in 2008 to $1.20 in less than 2 years. The Euro has the dubious distinction of the fastest falling major currency of the decade (century?).

While not the actual FX price the FXE tracks Euro|Dollar cross nicely and quotes & charts are easy to get.

1. Meh. I remember when the euro was $.90, or less...
...and it was cheaper to buy books from Eason's in Dublin and let the exchange rate pay the postage than to get them from Amazon in Washington state. What goes up must come down.

3. Wasn't that long ago that all of DU was long on the euro
Remember that? 2007-2008, when the dollar was weak, and people wanted to know if they could convert all of their dollars into Euros?

Funny.

Anyone want to go on a vacation in Europe?

Gold purchased in Euro hits lifetime high.

We are heading for parity with the USD.

There is supposed to be a lot of support at the $1.20 level, it will be interesting to see if it holds.
