2. thanks for a classic ironic moment
:D Irony is everywhere...

Like those ads on TV --CNN, NBC for Red Lobster.

We go from seeing oiled wildlife (jump) to heaping plates of shrimp & scallops etc, while the voice over intones that it's the celebration of seafood "from all around the USA!" Uh....not quite ALL around
(and ya better hurry to Red Lobster QUICK!):eyes:

3. All day
I've been on the lookout to find a good news story to post amidst all the terrible news stories I've been posting lately.

Happy to find one that at least makes one smile. The smile may be ironic but I'll take it.

6. Not entirely true
BP owns amoco and arco and while I don't know for a fact there are no more corporate non franchised based bp/amocos left, I do know for a fact that there are tons of arco am/pm corporate stations left. They just don't have the sign bp on them but they are in fact owned by bp.

9. Then how come there are BP gas stations everywhere I go?
BTW, I am in Ohio. If BP no longer sells retail gasoline, you sure couldn't tell by us.
