Presidential Ass Kicking
Edited on Tue Jun-08-10 05:55 AM by AllentownJake
"I don't sit around just talking to experts because this is a college seminar, we talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick." President Barack Obama

Tony Haward sir, CEO of BP. I'm not an expert, but he appears to be begging for you to kick his ass.

Edited on Tue Jun-08-10 06:00 AM by AllentownJake
I'm having a Colbert day, I woke up to finding out there was a bear running around the county causing havoc.

I kept thinking Stephen was right, they are the number one enemy to man.

5. Of course GENBC didn't play the question asked
by Matt - about kicking butt. As usual context was missing.
GObama - great response.

13. K&R Time stomp nuts till his foot hurts
Of course to do that actual change in policy and not catering to "the stakeholders" would be prerequisite.

15. Isn't it odd...First Obama was not tough and emotional
enough. He makes this statement and now republicans are complaining. He is damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I think he should IGNORE all republicans and do what he and his advisers and the Democrats figure out is best for this country. He should tell the republicans to get a rag and help clean up the Gulf, at least they would be doing something constructive. And the ones he should tell to start are Fox and all the right wing blow hards who have a platform to spew their hate.

19. Sorry but well...duh! Did ya really think they could be reasoned with?
Were you actually counting on them to do their duties?

Did you actually think their concerns had any legitimate reasons behind them?

Did you get it into your head that including their ideas or trying to meet them in the middle would bear fruit?

C'mon man!!!! Wake up these are the TeaPubliKlans we're talking about here. They are a 100% about shenanigans, bullshitting, and making the rich wealthy and the wealthy into gods.

17. Fat chance, looks like the die is cast.

It would be mightily satisfying but I'm willing to take bets that I'd happily lose.

Who knows, if the heat is hot enough BP could hang Tony out to dry, but that still would be essentially symbolic. BP is it's assets, it's shareholders. Expropriate without compensation.

I'd ante it up. Even sell a few things for the price.
