Who would you like to be an ASS KICKING president?
I think Obama is a good man but he is acting too indecisive, acting too slow and he is not forceful enough. I wish he would read or listen to some of FDR's speeches for examples of how to sound tough, be forceful and be a real leader. President Obama is still 'studying' to see who's ass should be kicked.

It's obvious President Obama is not an ass kicking kind of person. But who would you like to see who COULD kick ass and be a real leader? And no, acting forceful and being angry doesn't mean you have to act like a lunatic. We have had many presidents who didn't take shit off of anyone. We just don't have one now.

1. I like Obama just fine. We had an ass-kicking president the last eight years. I didn't care for it.

12. He didn't say 'psycho'.
Obama could be a hell of a lot tougher without being an idiotic war criminal.

2. Sorry, but the system wouldn't allow for an ass-kicking president right now.....
The Presidency, like Congress, is a wholly owned subsidiary of corporations. Until we acknowledge that fact, and start some kind of nonviolent revolution, it is what it is.

4. It was wholly owned when TR was President, too
But you know what? Something called the Progressive Era was underway.

6. And again, it's going to take some kind of extraordinary circumstances.....
such as a Great Depression, to create something similar.

16. What's historically changed societies?
Economic hardship for majorities of people.

Environmental catastrophes.

Prolonged and/or ill considered wars, without "booty".

Structural impediments to feedback and timely response via public policy.

Resource depletion.

21. You nailed it in one.
Unfortunately, we're more likely to waste even more time trying to mend the currently broken system with spit and toothpicks until violent revolution is visited upon us by less patient people. I fear that time is closing in on us at the speed of light.

3. You know I would love it.
I think Obama has it in him - I saw quite a bit of fire during the campaign. Since he won, though, he is way too interested in pleasing repukes. They will never, ever like him. I don't care if he single-handedly captures bin laden and cuts off his head. The repukes will find a way to shit on him for it.

I sincerely hope he finds his fire again, and yes, kick some ass! :hi:

20. I agree! Obama should completely write off every republican. Its a waste of time.
If Obama cured every disease, if our country had a 500 trillion dollar surplus, every unemployment was zero and he had the power to make everyone happy republicans would still hate him and object to everything he does. Obama is a smart man. He should know this. So why does he continually cave in to the same thugs who almost destroyed our country. I can't even comprehend why he is succumbing so easily to the enemy.

He needs to get off his ass and start kicking ass, NOW!

5. I think he's doing a lot that we aren't seeing on TV
I mean, contrary to the last administration, these guys aren't doing everything just for political effect and outward appearances. If you watch Obama with people on the Gulf Coast just watch how they react to him--how they both respect and appreciate what he's doing. They say "still waters run deep" and this President is like that--getting a lot done without the fanfare.

13. I'd like to see Obama do some ass kicking...
but not like the last occupant of the WH did. I want him to kick the asses of BP, the Repugs, and corporations. What I don't want him to do, is be a bully. I don't want chest pounding, bullhorn screaming or anything that resembles typical macho bs.

A quiet strength, is all that's needed. Think about mother's most often a look is all it takes.

22. Absolutely!
Why the wait? I would have addressed the country on national television instead of appearing on a morning show. It just doesn't make any sense. I have no doubt that even me and my circle of friends could have done better. We certainly wouldn't have taken any shit off of anyone and we would have already been after the culprits who caused this disaster. If you were caught dumping a quart of oil into the Gulf you would be immediately cited or arrested. Why corporations are allowed to rape our planet and get away with it is beyond comprehension. Ideally, BP's CEO and every top executive at BP should be arrested. Yeah, I know current laws protect them from any personal liability, but those laws need to be changed. In other countries if a CEO or business does something horrendous business leaders are thrown in prison or even executed. I'm against capital punishment, but I believe sociopathic thugs like Hayward should be thrown in prison for life.
