Watching the oil leak cam

I am not sure what is going on. There is a yellow object bouncing around in the plume. Is it on of the ROV's adding dispersant? Or did the cap get blown off? Or, is it something else?

The image looks different than it has for the past couple of days, to my untrained eyes, anyways.

Yes, they are spraying dispersant as it exits the cap.

4. It was very erratic for a bit. It does seem to have stabilized.

2. WOW: It looked like the whole BOP was waving back and forth violently for a while there....

I hope it was a camera illusion. :scared:

3. That ROV is adding dispersant.

The dispersant is clearly whiteish looking.
As for the occasional yellow thing... ??? Maybe from the dispersant reacting with the oil?

5. The yellow was a piece of equipment for sure.

It is the same color as the cap, which why it caught my attention. It was likely just another bot doing something around the BOP. Things have calmed back down now.

8. I think they are trying to figure a way to lock that cap down.

Attach it to the BOP so it will take the pressure better....at least that is what I would do.

6. CNN is reporting that they closed one of three vents

I guess the increased pressure made it look worse for a sec. We'll see what happens as they try to close more vents and see if it blows the cap
