2. The great thing about the human eyes is that they're effective from long distances.
Noses, however, require proximity. This train of thought suggests another question: would you let Rand Paul near your nose? Of course, most of us have eyes and nose near enough to each other that the two questions are likely to have the same answer, at least if the question about letting Rand Paul near one's eyes is taken literally as just a matter of physical proximity.

7. No metaphysical discourses of noses and eyes please
This is about Rand Paul setting up his own Board to certify himself.

I'd sooner stick a hot fork in my eyes than have this nutbar get near them. :puke:

6. But my dear Bluebear
he certified himself with his own Board - that is called extreme libertarianism - the man is a fraud.

8. I wish I had met Mr Paul when I was in college
and totally intimidated by the class mates who had been admitted to Med School. I would have enjoyed talking to Mr. Paul, hearing his bull crap, attempting to follow his rather shallow analysis. Then I would have concluded, "Heck, I'm smart enough to be a brain surgeon or a heart surgeon" and made different career choices.

10. I'm in the process of restorative plastic opthamology with a GREAT doc.
Decades of experience--and ACTUAL board certification plus lots of happy former patients.

I chose "Hell, no"--and thanks for adding that option.
