White House gate-crashers land TV role
Michaele Salahi to be part of cast of new ‘Real Housewives of D.C.’

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/37705763/ns/today-entertainment/

NEW YORK — The woman who crashed President Barack Obama's first state dinner has cashed in with a reality TV deal.

The Bravo network said Tuesday that Michaele Salahi will be featured in the next installment of its "Real Housewives" franchise, this time focused on Washington.

Salahi and her husband, Tareq, talked their way into the dinner last November, forcing the White House to tighten security restrictions.

The Real Housewives of D.C." will debut Aug. 5 at 9 p.m. Eastern.

2. IIRC this was a done deal (her on the show) before the WH incident.
I think Bravo is just trying to milk a little publicity out of it.

Queer Eye, Kathy Griffin's show, Shear Genius, Work Out, Top Design, Launch my Line, and Blow Out too? Those damn repukes with their fashion, style, leading gay characters, and Kathy Griffin... I'm so sick of them always forcing this sort of stuff on us.

popular because those watching think that their own lives are boring or what ever.

It made me insane that more people voted for american idiots than for pres in 04.

6. I am not sure the networks can be blamed for this
Edited on Tue Jun-15-10 10:13 AM by DrDan
they are going to air whatever draws viewers.

Unfortunately - there are plenty that will tune in. And there will be sponsors lining up.

Not unlike the reality show for those parents whose daughter risked her life for a reality show. There will be those that watch . . . and there will be sponsors. Really makes me wonder whether or not this emergency was real or not. Makes for better television to have that episode included - to show the danger she was in. Much more spell-binding than a quiet float in calm waters.

19. BY TV standards, the pay is pretty lousy.
I read where the NJ 'cast' get paid only $3,333 per episode.
