Now Joshua is claiming marchers were waiting for him and wanted to beat him with clubs!

So let's recap:

1. He claims to have been hassled in an airport by travelers who don't support the war.

seeing him! About 2 hours before the march started, CodePink held a rally over at the Navy War Memorial several blocks away from the Mall. Jane Fonda and Sean Penn spoke there and I got there a little late and as I arrived, I saw the 15 people (I counted) across the street that were the "counter-protesters" waving flags. I noticed in particular a guy there who had lost his right leg and had a buzz cut. He crossed the street nearly the same time I did to get to the CodePink rally and then he "Crashed" the event and went up to the area where speakers were.

Guess what? He wasn't treated badly - he was allowed to speak!!! He started talking to the crowd for atleast 5+ minutes shouting his beliefs. Col. Ann Wright eventually took the mike from him and was so kind to him and thanking him for his service and then she went in to a speech about how we needed to make sure we provided veterans benefits for soldiers like him coming back who were in need of medical attention for injuries, both physical and emotional.

I remember thinking "Wow, even though this soldier clearly disagrees with the views of the people there, he was allowed to speak and was shown how we all support the troops".

Meanwhile, I saw here on DU the comments about some guy claiming to be spit on at the rally and read about it in the newspaper. But just 5 minutes ago, I went to the Youtube video that you have posted above and the appearance the guy did on Sean Hannity... OMG! It's the same guy!!!

There is no question, no question at all that this man is lying....He is trying to create a disturbance and concoct a story where there is none in order to get attention and to discredit the Anti-war movement....so scary....reminds me of the Right-wing father who during the Kerry Campaign in 2004 claimed a person ripped his kids sign up at a Bush Rally....And then it turns out the guy shows up at lots of different things and claims to be a victim....

Wow! Amazing....It wasn't until I saw the Hannity video that I recognized him as the guy that I crossed the street with and who crashed the CodePink rally.

There is no doubt in my mind that this guy was trying to "pick a fight" every where he went. Yet, ironically, the only thing I saw happen where he was is that he was treated with the upmost of respect and thanks for his service, even if he happened to have a different point of view as others.

Luckily GunsareOK had his danger radar on high alert. He pointed out four guys in the Park with big sticks about 150 feet from us. BELOW LEFT: three of the guys. BELOW RIGHT: The fourth guy taking a breather.

Guns said the guys were pointing towards us and looked like they were planning something. I'm not sure how these guys caught the police officer's eyes, but the police also thought they looked like trouble. BELOW: The police talking to three of them. Eventually the police had them drop the sticks and leave the Park's premises.
