Please Send this Suggestion to Top Honchos in the Democratic Party

Humor is a powerful tool as we all know. Why doesn't the Democratic Party hire comedians to create PR?

Even though I'm a known liberal, I get an average of 9 emails a week with hilariously depicted jabs at the Democratic Party and President Obama, complete with pictures, humor, stories, cartoons.....ridiculing the president and Democrat's behavior.

But I see NOTHING similar from the Democrats' view. Yes, some of the right wing jabs use inaccurate information, but I'm NOT suggesting that the Dems fib as well.

While I never fail to check with SNOPES, Urban Legions, etc. to dispute the emails.. what about the millions who never get my corrections? The lies are piling up.

There is plenty of truth that can be used by Democrats as humorous grist.

Think of it! Telling the TRUTH about what is going on with the simple elegance of humor and pictures, and then sending out millions of emails to fill the humor vacuum that exists.

IF The Dems DON'T FIGHT BACK in ways that the general public can understand... then we will be inviting the corporate royalists back into power.


Can somebody with more connections than me please get this suggestion to the top people at the Dem Party?

dog knows that some of our opponents could use some larnin'. But I find it incredible that
people don't see how effective it is to counter stupid with funny, but it does take
a lot of work.

I'm not very good at it, but I admire it.

6. Yes, and I've seen hundreds of comic items by Republicans, and ZERO by Dems

Right here at DU there are many wonderfully comic depictions of politics -- from satire and irony, to the blatantly slapstick. Somebody should get together a writer / artist team from DU and put together some comic ideas with pictures, cartoons, etc., and then present them to the WH as a job promoting project.
