Lebrons "decision" shows how insecure and desperate he is.
He doesn't believe in his own abilities, so he found two other guys to carry him. Lebron SUCKS!

Nobody in the modern error can win a championship by themselves - even Jordan couldn't do it. It takes a team.

7. I'm not kidding and not from Cleveland.
He had a team. They went to the finals two years ago and had the best team in the east the last two years. This year he and others got hurt. Winning was a strong possibility and Cleveland could have added players. He could have also gone to the Bulls if he wanted to win or to the Knicks to build his team. Instead he went with the safe bet in Miami. We'll see if it works out for him.

16. I'm betting they win it this year. But regardless,
it doesn't reflect well on Lebron. None of the great players have had to conspire with two other superstars to win a championship. Jordan didn't do it, Bird didn't do it, Magic didn't, Russell didn't, etc. Lebron's legacy will be that he couldn't win unless surround by superstars.

And, did he really have to choose Miami? Couldn't he at least have chosen a city that cares about its NBA team?

54. A little research could save you a lot of embarrassment.
First of all Ray Allen NEVER played for the Lakers! You might be thinking of Gary Payton. Second, Gary Payton and Karl Malone didn't join the Lakers until the 2003-2004 season. (The Lakers lost in the finals to Detroit in five games) Neither player returned to the team for the 2004-2005 season.

In his first season as Lakers head coach(1999-2000) Phil Jackson won an NBA championship with Kobe, Shaq, Derek Fisher, Brian Shaw, A.C Green, Devean George, Rick Fox, Glen Rice, Robert Horry, and Ron Harper.

39. No support?
They only had the best record in the league the last two years. It's hard to argue legitimately that he was playing on a bad team in Cleveland. If you watched them in the playoffs the last two years it was LaBron that didn't show up in critical games, not the "supporting cast".

58. Bullshit!
If anything this is like Charles Barkley leaving the 76ers for Phx. Both went to a place with a better shot at a championship.

Magic would have been leaving; Kareem, Cooper, McAdoo, Scott, Wilkes, Worthy.

You have three guys in that list in the top 100 all time, then add in good players in Scott, roll players in McAdoo, Kupchak and Rambis. So comparing the current Cleveland line up is insane. The roll players are comparable to the Cleveland starters.

LeBron may be a dick but he sure as hell didn't have all time greats with him in Cleveland.

But, the reason this matters is that you could say this whole fiasco is a microcosm of what's wrong with our country.

Loyalty, home, family, humility...all mean sqaut in today's America.

It explains how a guy could be "bitchin'" about his "income" while watching the entire gulf of Mexico be destroyed by toxic goo. It's why corporations like BP can show such callous disregard for the environment. There's very little sense of unity, or long term thinking, or pride and respect for the natural treasures of our country....it's all just ME, ME, ME, ME!

while the coaches break contracts and oral obligations to their players and move to where the money and the commercial endorsements are. Meanwhile players lives are controlled to the point they can tell you how much money you make on your summer job, even if the salary is below poverty level and you starve it's ok as long as the fans buy it's corruption free. At least you get that education after your playing career is over and you pay those 4 years because your coach convinced you to sacrifice classes for your dream of going pro... then left you mid college career. You can see how it's a more noble a sport.

41. No problem with him leaving. Big problem with how he did it.
It was classless to go on a prime time special and stab Cleveland fans in the heart.

That is my problem with it, and I'm a Cleveland fan! Heck, we're used to the sporting god's pissing all over us. From the Browns being moved to Baltimore (while Cleveland stadium was still drawing 70,000 fans to a 2-12 team), to the starting pitchers for Game 1 of the World Series last year being Cliff Lee (former Cleveland Indian) and C.C. Sabathia (former Cleveland Indian), I think we have shown the patience of Job.

But going on a Prime-time National Broadcast and humiliating your city is quite a large pill to swallow.

It would be like dating a girl for 7 years, telling her how much you love and care for her, and then dumping her for another girl live on the Jumbotron at the Super Bowl.

You shouldn't be shocked if she doesn't take it all that well.

Magic Johnson had Kareem, James Worthy, and a rotating cast that included Bob McAdoo, Byron Scott, Jamaal Wilkes, Norm Nixon, Michael Cooper.

Bird had McHale, Dennis Johnson, Robert Parrish, M.L. Carr, Quinn Buckner

Jordan had Pippen, Steve Kerr, Horace Grant

So you can say he sucks for being a weenie, but I challenge you to find a championship team without multiple all stars and in some cases multiple players in the top 100 all time.

Maybe TrailBlazers and Golden State in the 70's.
