You can link to it at:

in case. (right click on image>Save image as - I'm sure you

75. DOES IT REALLY MATTER???????????
I cannot deal with this shit anymore. It is ANOTHER ONE of the most heart-wrenching things in this SAGA. Do we really need to see more pictures of this... NOBODY (meaning everyday Americans) are going to do a damn thing about it anyway. It happened and WE (the side of the aisle that actually uses the brains we were given) really don't even need to see the pictures to KNOW how bad this actually is.
But as usual... it's the Fox Followers who are in the dark. Someone should post these pictures on THEIR websites. They're the ones that want to keep drilling. And that judge who lifted the ban on drilling... he's another selfish asshole. I believe he said that one spill can't be the reason to stop the rest of it. Well ASSHOLE - how about you have those drillers clean this shit up first????
All of those other oil companies that wanna drill should be cleaning up FIRST. Prove that you can take care of a HIGHLY POTENTIAL MESS... then you can say it's okay to keep drilling.
Every single person that is in favor of drilling - should wake up to these pictures EVERYDAY!
Sorry... I'm a little pissy this morning!

Edited on Fri Jul-09-10 05:33 PM by PJPhreak
BP has a deal going with Google to stop/slow access to "Undesirable" Photos/Stories/Reporting that will make them look bad...

http://mashable.com/2010/06/08/bp-oil-spill-google/

BP Buys Top Google Result for “Oil Spill”

Snip:

BP has purchased sponsored links that appear at the top of Google and Yahoo’s search results for terms like “oil spill” in its attempts to improve its public image in the wake of its massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.

BP’s PR problems are severe. U.S. President Barack Obama said this morning that he’s talking to experts so he can determine “whose ass to kick.”

The outrage has been particularly clear on the web, where a fake Twitter (Twitter) account was set up to mock BP’s PR efforts, and nearly half a million Facebook (Facebook) users have rallied behind “boycott BP” pages. One design firm even put together a Firefox extension (spedr.com - firefox extension) that blots out all the web’s mentions of BP with oil stains.

Companies buy sponsored links (which are clearly labeled as such) at the top of search results so their side of the story is the first a member of the public sees when he or she searches for information. The links at the top of the Yahoo and Google (Google) results link to BP’s “Gulf of Mexico Response” page, which hosts articles and videos explaining how BP is trying to resolve the environmental crisis.

Edit to Add: They are doing everything to stop us from seeing the Real effcts of this Disaster...

57. Yes, but what about google.cn?
Perhaps Google is being tugged the wrong way by BP. That isn't such a great thing, obviously.

But I have to respect them for refusing to bow to China's demands of censorship by posting links to their uncensored Hong Kong site (a great sleight of hand trick) on their regular Chinese site. I have little doubt that eventually Google will be forced to conform or lose their license to operate in China. But I respect them for it.

So even though they may be weak in getting people up to date on BP, they are showing a strong will in trying to bring the Chinese uncensored internet, which is great when so many others there are willing to conform to the restrictions to get a share of the Chinese market (with over one billion people in it).

29. and you can't see the toxic air we on the Gulf have had to live with!
That has made our eyes burn and our throats burn and our chest felt like Bricks were on our chests, and feeling sick to one's stomach..

And those of us who tried to report that here were jeered nd all but told we were liars or to STFU..

But I will say what i have said befoe..BP is not alone in this ..our government is responsible as well..Our government that has Censored stories and has lied to us about the toxic air we have had to breathe..our government that allowed BP to put well over 3.5 million gallons of the Toxic Despersant in our water and in our air.

Our government that ha sbeen complicit in the cover up in this disaster..our government that has turned over our beaches to the damn criminals who did this ..and our Coast Guard and our Homeland security and our FAA that allowed BP a Foreign Corporation to have control over the air ways, the Gulf with the complicity of the Coast Guard, the Air flight patterns, and they have used Homeland security to hold those of us who live on the Gulf hostage to the damn criminals!

It has not JUST been BP..it has been the co-joined efforts of BP and this administration and our government.

I was out there and vocal about the damn Bush administration along with so many here..to scream bloodly murder over the criminal neglect of Bush during Katrina..but folks this is even worse..and I will tell you ..this current adminsitration is even worse in their behavior and their neglect of the Gulf and our nations protectin in this!

And this will have decades of damage to our entire eco system and our livelyhoods, and our long time ( Or short time now ) health.

This is an utter disgrace and if anyone would have ever told me a democratic administration could be as bad or worse than Bush..I would have told them they were nuts..I can no longer say that.

35. +1000% ---
I wrote something, flyarm, but nothing is good enough to say --

Many of us are watching and waiting. We understand in some way that this is

about all of us but right now it is the Gulf and its life and its residents suffering

and we are mainly still living our lives.

I frequently think that at least this wasn't a nuclear explosion, but I end up either

way thinking -- "not yet, at least ..."

Whether the Gulf or a nuclear event, we are all "downwinders" and eventually we will

be coming to understand that.

It's also not simply the Republicans -- wish it was. All of our elected officials are

involved in this game of bribery we call campaign finance. Salarzar should be gone.

This administration has been involved in issuing new permits -- and this well is somehow

deeper than it should have been drilled. And if Obama has to have someone explain to him

"whose ass to kick" then I'm really, really frightened!

We're 81 days into this now and I can't believe that this is all that could have been done,

either by BP or by the administration.

---------------

Just a note on this - we have 103 aging nuclear power plants in America -- all in private

hands -- and insured by our government because they are uninsurable. Obama has just

approved $36 Billion in loans to the nuclear industry to build new nuclear power plants.

38. How correct you are! BP as well as our government are hiding the health effects of all on the Gulf
Edited on Fri Jul-09-10 09:26 PM by flyarm
so even OSHA is now owned by BP..

How did we get here..well they split this nation into blue and red..so both "sides" blame the other..and what has really happened is both "sides" are the same or close to it..

Dashle was paid By BP to cover up what they were doing as a lobbyist for BP, along with Panetta ( now CIA director), and Christine Whitman..the lady who lied about Ground Zero..and how did that work out for those responders?? If they are not dead they are close to it!

Sure ...on TV they act like they hate each other and yet they are all Lobbyists together? For BP!!

The cover ups are enormous. And truth is being covered up by both parties! Equally!

But when you look at truth..One party has total control of our government right now and it damn sure is not the republicans in charge of this cover up.Although their asses are being protected in this cover up!

How many on the gulf will get cancers from what has been sprayed and what we have had to breathe?

How many children will get cancers?

if BP is collecting blood samples..why is no one getting to see them..why are they being covered up,,and why has our government allowed this?????????

Why is our government not doing the blood testing???????

By the time people have serious symptoms of serious health issues and cancers and respiratory diseases..BP will be long gone..along with the blood tests that could have proven their cover up ...

And the vast majority of those cleaning the beaches and in the trenches of this toxic soup are the poor and the most vulnerable!

And if you eat fish..understand this..there is no test for fish you eat, that can show contamination from the dispersant being used. And approx 1/3rd of fish consumed in the USA comes from the Gulf!

Think very strongly about eating fish now!

46. Sad but true summation . . .

all of our government agencies have been corrupted --

and, though it should have been obvious, only came to thinking about the connections

between MIC and oil in the last few weeks. Oil is naturally a "national security issue"--!!

How correct you are! BP as well as our government are hiding the health effects of all on the Gulf so even OSHA is now owned by BP..

We've seen the cruelty of this before with Katrina -- and 9/11 -- lies and deception -- cover up.

How did we get here..well they split this nation into blue and red..so both "sides" blame the other..and what has really happened is both "sides" are the same or close to it..

I've reposted some of your message because it merits retelling --

The cruelties our government has inflicted on so many others in these wars has to be understood

by all Americans as a disrespect for nature -- and a cheapening of human life -- which does finally

come home to America and to our own citizens. That began to happen long ago to us, IMO.

And, obviously, we all need to be hammering away harder at our Congress and President --

especially in regard to the Gulf.

Also --

Thank you for your personal concern for everyone -- I've been reluctant to suggest that re fish --

I'm a Vegan -- but used to buy some tuna for my husband occasionally and he loves to order fish

in our local restaurant, bit I think he's gotten the message.

I posted this Paul Hellyer interview today and it ended up in the dungeon --

If you have time or inclination, just listen to a minute or two of Part 2 --

That now, maybe, finally... More Americans will wake-up to the facts and come to understand and make the connection that what has finally happened to us, our country, our eco-systems, and to our people, that for many decades prior we have been inflicting these same gross atrocities on other countries, eco-systems, and entire tribes and villages of people, up to and including murder all over the world for mostly our own need, greed and wants. And it's not acceptable!

It's one of the deadly habits that has to be broken if we are ever to survive.

BP is just the face. The mask. We are responsible for this. Those greedy bastards just got rich while the rest of us did nothing to demand clean energy. An oil free economy. We demanded cheap oil and that is what we got for a while. Now we have this.

I really am sick of all of us at this point.

44. No we are not - you are not responsible. The powerbrokers
Have been fighting renewable energy for half a century.

Without them, we simply do not have the capital to effect real change in energy generation.

It takes billions and a national mandates.

We've been fighting for reforms, not against them

50. I'm sorry but I do feel responsible
and absolutely ill at my own complacency. I feel we all are responsible on some level even if we do not pull the strings. What is it going to take? We are still mindlessly filling our tanks, demanding smooth roads that lead us smoothly to our nothing office jobs that serve no one but some corporation. We drive home everyday in our inefficient metal deathtraps to our shoddily built homes in the suburbs and think we have it made. We are generations into a mindset of needful consumption and there is no turning back.

I'm not mad at you. You are so right! I'm just venting. Nothing else I can do! :(

62. You're wrong - there is much more you can do besides vent -
we are all in this together and blaming victims isn't getting us anywhere. It is not OUR fault that we are being held hostage by corporations, our 401K accounts are gone, we are losing our jobs, and we can't afford our health care. We need to band together and fight the jerks doing this to us. Yes, vent, but please don't blame your fellow brothers & sisters.

70. Until the billionaires get on board, there is little we can do but keep doing what we do.
This is part of a historic struggle - these things take years.

51. Disturbing
Whats really disturbing to me is the many people here on the Gulf Coast who are indifferent to all of this. Its like it doesn't concern them because they live north of Interstate 10 or something. Is is because they don't care if they perceive this as not affecting them or because to admit that this is horrific is to admit that they (GOP supporters) are responsible?

63. How is it no one has been arrested again? BP should be seized and its leaders arrested.
They broke many laws which resulted in the deaths of people, animals and a large part of our enviroment.

65. Your last picture is the bloody shot.
EVERYTHING there is NOW DEAD. DEAD. DEAD. Not perhaps will recover, not perhaps will be "cleaned" HA HA, IT'S DEAD. It's as DEAD as Oscar Grant bleeding on the train platform.

Drill, Baby, Drill. The moratorium has been overturned. YES, AMIS SHOULD TAKE THE RISK of this fucked up industry in the Gulf and Alaska lest MORE of your junk and externalized costs come from those who can least afford to support YOUR HABIT. Your externalized costs manifest in places like Nigeria.
