GE's Gift to the Obama Administration always provides a quote or two that makes you go "Hmmm." But the place where news goes to die on Thursday night provided us with two gems that can't be ignored.

The first comes from a new player: MSNBC guest anchor Cenk Uygur filled in for the equally insane and inane Dylan Ratigan...

...Then there's the old-standby, Mr. Tingle Up His Leg Chris Matthews. The liberal talker ended his show by arguing that there are two types of people in the country at the moment: those who want things to improve and those who want to see the country, and therefore the president, fail...

...How can anyone watch this nonsense?

He can't stand people pointing out the realities of this country's struggles with race and identity. He especially dislikes intelligent and assertive people of color like Cenk. Matthews is a blow hard, but occasionally gets it right. He had Eugene Robinson and Pat Buchanan on responding to Rush Limbaugh's latest racial rants. Of course Buchanan defended Limbaugh because Pat holds the same views. Dobbs is part of the Triumvirate of mainstream racism and bigotry with Buchanan and Limbaugh. They must protect the status of the White Christian Male as the top of the social hierarchy. There are people who would rather see the country burn than to see it succeed at the hands of a Black president and a changing racial make up because that one once and for all dispel the myth of racial inferiority that shelters their fragile egos.
