. . . . . . essentially nobodies (bad cops, low level "terrorists", etc.) but Bushco stays free and clean. Cheney comes out of his hole and smacks them around and they never do a damned thing.

1. Nope. Some people in the administration have shown they don't care.

3. There is a video clip floating around on DU right now
of Judge Andrew Napolitano saying that Bush and Cheney should be indicted, it made me wonder why is a Fox News stooge that believes in FEMA camps saying that Bush and Cheney should be indicted but the Obama administration doesnt think so?

4. Have you ever considered that maybe they're still building the case?
So far the administration is right on track, going after the people and groups we have been complaining about for the last 10 years.

I'd recommend patience when cases get this complex and serious.

11. You can choose to ignore the admin's established track-record of justice
Or you can embrace it.

Either way, their record stands in history, and I expect more to come. Nothing I've seen tells me they're not serious about prosecuting past crimes.

15. If the prosecutions magically come within X years you win a BRAND NEW CAR!
Yes the sporty but versatile Nissan Rogue fully equipped with bucket seats, A/C, power package, and MP3 player can be yours if you are actually right about any kind of prosecutions EVER happening!!!

best of intentions. There are no lasting consequences or repercussions. There's nary a hint of anything systemically corrupt when government cloaks torture in the color of law, patriotism, and national security... and then walks away - free... waving the flag, all smiles and giggles. By damn, they're public servants....doing all they do to serve the people. That man's penis was sliced to keep you safe! Waterboarding is as American as apple pie. Someone get me a red, white and blue sparkler, I feel a song coming on...

Just can't say the same about your garden variety, non-government criminals. Those folks are evil-doers. They tear at the very fabric of society and destroy the American way of life! They flush our ideals down the toilet and they are ripping our country apart in the process.

Just as an aside, I happen to include law enforcement under the banner of government...but there's government, then there's Government.

9. I'm not sure I follow the logic.
As long as Cheney goes free, everyone else should get a free pass? "How dare you punish renegade cops that open fire on unarmed citizens, don't you know Cheney has done worse?" It shouldn't be an either/or proposition.

13. How about "When I see the AG doing the right thing against police use of excessive force...
it reminds me that they should also be doing the right thing against the crimes of the last administration"? I share your frustration, but I don't get "angry" when I see the Danziger Bridge murders being investigated and prosecuted.

16. I don't consider cops opening fire on citizens and then covering it up to be a "nobodies"
I think they are criminals. You are free to disagree and focus all your attention on Dick Cheney exclusively.

18. I see, so the fact that he called them 'nobodies' has made you
decide what he meant in his post. I hate to tell you this, but they are nobodes...their 15 minutes of fame has come and gone, or will. Dick Cheney, however, is infamous and should stand trial but never will. That's a rub that should make everyone fume.

19. There is no "rub". One has nothing at all to do with the other.
I can't begin to understand your dismissal of the Danziger Bridge murders with a quip about "fifteen minutes of fame" but you are entitled to your world view. I live in a different world apparently.

10. It is pretty disturbing. Not one Bush war criminal has even
reveived a slap on the wrist from this DOJ. I think they hope we will be satisfied with crumbs before the next election. Not that this case should not be prosecuted, and I'm very glad it is.

But equal justice under the law is just a quaint saying. You know Bush, in his weird way of sometimes telling the truth without meanting to (I have to catapult the propaganda) was probably telling the truth when he called the Constitution 'just a piece of paper' and 'quaint'. He was probably not supposed to say that out loud though, but I'm sure he heard it often among his family and friends and the other rulers of this country.
