We need an election year war to market after Labor Day like Bush

Not to bring up too bitter a memory from eight years ago, but I definitely remember how Bush and his Republicans did so well in the 2002 midterms. They drummed up the Iraq War on false pretenses in an election year.

Oh yes they did.

Now Dems don't have the limitless lowness that Rove, Bush, et ilk displayed at that time, so I am not seriously suggesting we start a war for no reason like they did. But maybe there is some other product we could market "after Labor Day." And next time someone asks a Dem why we are apparently looking at trouble in November, I hope they say: "Cuz we don't start wars to win elections like the GOP."
